Microsoft Co-Pilot with Enterprise Data Protection (formerly Bing Chat for Enterprise)
Important Information for UCF Community
All UCF students, faculty, and staff have access to Microsoft Co-Pilot with Enterprise Data Protection. To ensure that all information remains protected under Enterprise Data Protection, please follow these guidelines:
- Sign In with Your UCF Account
- Navigate to https://portal.office.com to login.
- Select “sign in with a work or school account” under the Sign in icon in the upper right corner of the page.
- Enter your NID@ucf.edu and NID password. When using with Microsoft Co-Pilot with Enterprise Data Protection, make sure to sign in using your UCF NID and NID password. This ensures proper authentication and access control.
- Complete Multi-factor authentication (MFA).
- How do I know my data is protected
- The conversation is protected when a green shield appears in the upper right corner next to your username. It is critical to verify that the green shield is present for all conversations.

- No Data Retention
- Microsoft Co-Pilot with Enterprise Data Protection does not save any information you input during your interactions. Your data will not be used in the AI learning model.
- Compliance with Data Protection Protocols
- Adhere to all current university data sensitivity and protection protocols, including FERPA (Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act) and HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act).
- Is Microsoft Co-Pilot with Enterprise Data Protection accessible via API?
- No, Microsoft does not offer an API with UCF's license for employees and students.
- Does Microsoft Co-Pilot with Enterprise Data Protection include Microsoft 365 applications?
- No, Microsoft Co-Pilot with Enterprise Data Protection does not include Co-Pilot for Microsoft 365 applications like Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel Powerpoint etc.
- How can I stay up to date on the latest Copilot feature releases and updates?
