The “Mass Answer Queried Questions” feature is available by request and allows instructors to process queries of the same question in a batch.

Sending Mass Feedback to All Students who Queried a Question:

Queried questions will appear in your “To Do” tab:

a. Note: If the “To Do” tab does not appear, view queried questions in the “Toolbox”:

b. Select “Show all answers” to see the frequency at which students have chosen all supplied answers:

To send feedback to all students who queried a question:

1. Begin by selecting “Problem with question”:

2. Insert feedback, which will be sent to all students who have queried the question.

1. Note: do not select “Mark as correct.”
2. In the example below, all students who queried the question will be sent the feedback, “Recheck Chapter 3”:

3. Press “Retest answers (after fixing question).”

4. Select “Include incorrect questions that were not queried.”

5. Press “Retest answers.”

6. A message will show that “No answers were retested as correct”:

7. Press “X” to close the “Message” notification.

8. Press “Send feedback to all,” which will send the message to all students who queried the question:

9. In the Learning Map, you can verify that all students who queried the question were sent the appropriate feedback:

Marking Queried Questions as Correct:

Queried questions will appear in your “To Do” tab:

If multiple students have queried one question, instructors will choose between:

a. Process # queries individually.”

1. If only one student has queried a question, this is the only option that will be available.
2. Note: This is how instructors have processed queried questions previously.

b. “Problem with question,” which will activate the mass-answer feature.

To mark all queried questions as correct as a batch:

1. Begin by selecting the “Problem with question” option.

2. Click “Mark as correct,” and enter any feedback.

3. Click “Send feedback to all and correct.”

1. Note: Instructors should not select “Retest answers (after fixing question)” without consulting with the PAL team. See: Correcting an Incorrect Answer in Realizeit.
2. In the example below, all students who queried the question will be sent feedback that reads, “Note: This question’s original answer was incorrect”:

4. All students who queried the question will have their answers marked as correct.

1. Note: this selection will only apply to those students who have queried the question.
2. If any students did not query the question, they will not be marked correct through this process; that marking would need to be completed individually on the Learning Map.

Correcting an Incorrect Answer in Realizeit:

Note: If the original answer is incorrect, please contact the PAL team before continuing.

If instructors continue without consulting the PAL team, the answers will be “retested” without correcting the students who originally queried the question.

• In this case, the queries would still be available in the instructor toolbox; however, the queries could no longer be mass-answered.

You now have the option to select “Retest answers (after fixing question)”:

1. Two new selections will appear:

1. “Include incorrect questions that were not queried.”
   1. Note: In this selection, the “Mark as correct” checkbox is irrelevant.
2. “Detect and adjust questions incorrectly marked as correct”
   1. Note: If an instructor makes this selection, students will be marked incorrect, even though they were marked correct previously.
   2. If this option is selected, students may be concerned that their grades have dropped.

2. The PAL team will correct the answer.

Note: After the answer has been corrected, clicking “include incorrect questions that were not queried” will mark all students correct that provided the original answer.

3. Click “include incorrect questions that were not queried.”

4. Select “retest answers.”

5. Realizeit will display a message indicating that answers were retested:

6. You can now enter feedback to students and select “Send feedback to all.”

1. This will send feedback to all students who queried the question; not just the students whose answers were corrected.
2. Note: “Mark as correct” does not apply, as the answers were already corrected in the previous step.

7. After submission, all sent feedback can be viewed in the Learning Map.
