How do I assign a Microsoft Teams Delegate?


Microsoft Teams allows you to select someone as a delegate to make and receive calls on your behalf.

These delegates can make calls on behalf of multiple people, if assigned. Delegates are able change their  settings by viewing permissions and managing their assignments. They can also change call settings for the people who selected them as delegates.

How to manage delegate settings

To manage your delegate settings, follow the steps below:

  1. Click on your profile picture and then Settings > General.

  2. There is a delegation section at the bottom of the page. Click on Manage Delegates.

  3. Under Your Delegates, you can add or remove contacts from your delegate list. 



What is a Delegate?


A delegate, based on the user's preferences provided in the image below, can receive and make calls on your behalf. The delegate can see and share all of your calls. 

       


How to Assign a Delegate

  1. Navigate to the ellipsis next to your profile picture in the top right within Microsoft Teams. 

  2. Select Settings then General. 



  3. Select Manage delegates, under Delegation.



  4. Click Your Delegates and enter the individual's name in the Add a Delegate box.

  5. Select the preferences applicable. 

    Note
    : The delegate will be notified after you assign them.
