Panopto recordings can be downloaded as an MP4 video file for offline viewing.  This download is a standalone file and does not include any of the Panopto “Player” features.  Your course permissions will determine which of the following methods you choose.

Note: If you are unable to locate the download option for recordings in a particular course, then downloads may be disabled by your instructor.

Method 1: Download via your online Webcourse:

1. Log in to your course via Webcourses@UCF with your NID and NID password.

2. Navigate to the Panopto Videos tab in your course.

3. Find the recording that you want to download and hover your mouse over the video thumbnail.

4: Click the Settings (gear icon) option.

• Under the Outputs tab, locate the “Download Podcast” or “Download MP4” section.
• Click the “Download Podcast” button to save the file to your computer.

 

Method 2: Download from the Player Interface (if enabled)

1. Open the recording as if you were watching the video.
2. Click on the “3 dots” in the upper right corner of the player.
3. Choose “Download”
4. The file will begin downloading to your default download location.
