How to use the Poster Printer at the College of Education and Human Performance


This article will provide instructions on how to utilize the Poster Printer located at the College of Education and Human Performance. It is recommended that you format your document to the desired poster size before attempting to print.

The instructions below may vary if the hardware the Poster Printer is attached to has been upgraded or changed. Please contact the UCF IT Support Center for additional support as needed.

 

1. Design your Poster using Office or Adobe tools such as Microsoft PowerPoint, or Adobe Acrobat Pro and save them to a USB drive.

 

2. Insert USB Drive on the front of the machine. If the computer is off, the power button is on the back of the left side.

 

3. Open your document and select File > Print from the top menu bar. Then click on Page Set-up.

 

4. On the Page Setup window, select custom from the first drop-down menu and input the width and height desired for your document and select the desired orientation if the option is available to you in this Page Setup Box.

 

5. Then click on the Options button and make sure to select Format For. Epson Stylus 9600-DYE, Paper Size. Other, your desired orientation and Scale 100%. Then Click OK on both/all of the Page Setup windows.

 

6. If the image in the Preview area is not aligned properly or looks stretched, click on the Cancel button so that you can re-adjust the slide or image so that it will look correct in the File > Print > Preview area.

 

7. Once the slide/content looks correct on the preview window confirm that the EPSON Stylus Pro 9600-DYE Printer is selected at the top and then click the Print Button
