Can I recover deleted files from OneDrive in my web browser?


When you delete a file, it goes to the Recycling Bin for 93 days. After 93 days, it is deleted permanently.

To recover a deleted file from the Recycle Bin:

  1. Go to the gear in the upper right hand corner and select Site Contents.
  2. Select 'Recycling Bin' on the right.
  3. From here you may, restore a file or permanently delete a file.

• Items in the recycle bin are recoverable for up to 93 days, but will automatically be deleted after 93 days.
 
• Microsoft will notify you if an unusually large volume of file deletes occurred within your OneDrive Account.   Below is a sample email you may receive in the event their systems identify high volumes of deleted messages either via browser or the OneDrive sync client.   This email is simply a precautionary notification to keep you informed of unusual activity.    If you intended to delete the files please ignore this email.   Otherwise, please research the intentional or unintentional cause of the deleted files and restore them using the links provided in the email.   If necessary please contact the Service Desk at 407-823-5117 if further research and escalation is required.
