Outlook Email Archiving

Accessing and Searching Email Archives

Users can access their email archives in the same way they access their primary mailboxes. Additionally, they can search both their archives and primary mailboxes seamlessly.

Archived emails are searchable just like regular emails, and the archive is accessible whenever you are connected to the Internet via Outlook for Windows or Outlook Web App.

UCF Email Archiving Policy:

Get Familiar with Your Archive

The Online Archive appears as a separate mailbox in your Outlook mail that adds a separate 99 GB of storage.
(In webmail, it’s called In-Place or Personal Archive.)

Follow the steps below to explore and get comfortable with your archive:

Search or Browse an Archive Folder

Searching or browsing an archive folder works just like with any regular folder. Simply select a folder in your archive to review messages or search for an old one.

Search All Mail

To search across all mail, make sure to select "All Mailboxes" from the dropdown to the left of the search bar, instead of the default "Current Mailbox."

Webmail

Your archived email also appears in the Outlook Web App. You can access it by visiting https://www.webmail.ucf.edu/ from any web browser.

Outlook for Mac

Your archived email also appears in the Archive folder for Mac. Please review instructions on how to access in Outlook for Mac.
