Simple Syllabus Resources for Faculty

Simple Syllabus is a centralized, template-driven platform that enables instructors to quickly personalize and publish interactive class syllabi directly within Canvas. All syllabi are automatically stored in a campus-wide repository.

Important Information:

All UCF instructors, regardless of course modality, must post their official syllabus to their published Webcourses using the Simple Syllabus tool by the first day of the session in which the course is taught. For GEP core courses, syllabi must be posted 45-days before the long semester* begins in accordance with BOG Regulation 8.00. [UCF Policy 4-403.3]

* the “long semester” means for the Summer Semesters, the start of Summer C; for the Fall and Spring semesters, the start of the “regular 16 week” session

GEP Core / Black Diamond Courses:

The GEP Core/Black Diamond Courses must submit their syllabi in Webcourses@UCF using Simple Syllabus (with the visibility set to General Public) 45-days prior to the first day of the semester (no matter the session the course section is taught in). To help facilitate this, the Select-All script in the Faculty Webcourse Manager (FWM) will select and send the GEP Core /Black Diamond Courses to Webcourses@UCF 60-days before the start of each semester.
