How to Send and Recieve an EFAX


Send a fax via web upload

  1. Login to efax.ucf.edu
  2. Click Compose Fax.
  3. In the Compose tab, enter your recipient's fax number. Use the following format:
    • On campus: 5-digit campus fax extension.
    • Off campus local: 10-digit fax number.
      • NOTE: Do not use periods, hyphens, or the prefix “1” when entering the fax number.
    • International Fax number011 + country code + 10-digit fax number.
  4. If you would like to include a cover sheet, choose a style from the dropdown and fill out the fields.
  5. Click Choose File to upload the document you wish to fax.
  6. By default, the "Sender" information contains your UCF directory information. Use the Sender & Company Information tab to change this. 
  7. Use the Options tab to specify additional options, including the date and time to send the fax.
  8. To send the fax, click Submit.

 

Monitoring a Fax

You may monitor the progress of your fax by opening the Outgoing Queue folder. Typically the fax will send in about 60 seconds.

The original message will appear in our Outbound history.

PDF, JPG, GIF, HTML, RTF, Word, Excel, PowerPoint

 

Receive a Fax

•Someone will send a fax to your eFax number.
•Your fax will arrive as an email from eFax.
•Open the email and your fax will be attached.


All incoming faxes will be converted to PDFs and be delivered as email attachments to your department or NID email address. Security consideration: since email is less secure than faxing, this will not be the best option for departments that handle medical/financial information.


Receive a Fax from EFAX Site

1.      Login to efax.ucf.edu

2.      Click Incoming Faxes

3.      To download the fax, click the PDF icon
