ResNet (On Campus Residential Network - Housing) Registration Guide


Resnet Registration Guide

In order for On Campus students  to connect their devices to the wired network in their dorms on campus using an ethernet cable, they will, first, need to register them with Resnet by following the steps below:

  1. Go to resnet.ucf.edu.
  2. Scroll down to the “Register My Device” heading and click on the gold button labeled “Register on MyResNet "

 

3. Login to the MyResNet Registration page using your NID and NID password.

4. Then, on the following page, fill out each of the required fields, check the box that indicates that you have read and agree to the “Acceptable Use Policy” terms, and click on the gold button labeled “Complete Registration.”

5. Next, you will be redirected to the “My Registered Devices” page, where you will be able to register the devices that you wish to connect to the wired network in your dorm by clicking on the gold button labeled “Add.”

 

 

6. From there, you will be redirected to the “Device Registration” page, where you will need to enter your MAC Address as well as a brief description of the device that you are registering (i.e.: PS4, Xbox, MacBook Pro, Smart TV, etc). Then, click the gold button labeled “Submit.

 

 

 7. Once you have successfully registered your device, it will appear under your list of registered devices on the “My Registered Devices” page.

8. Once your device is successfully registered on the Resnet registration site, make sure that your ethernet cable is securely connected to the orange ethernet port on the wall in your dorm, then reboot the device in question.
