OneDrive for Business Frequently Asked Questions


OneDrive for Business is Microsoft's cloud service that offers a simple way to store, sync and share all kinds of files with other people and devices. OneDrive has similar features as Dropbox or Google Drive; however, the university approves the use only of OneDrive is approved by the university.

UCF Policy 4-008.1 has important information about storing data. The policy states that you must encrypt Highly Restricted Data before uploading to OneDrive for Business. Additionally, other regulatory requirements might need to be met depending upon the type of data being stored. Contact the UCF Information Security Office with questions related to specific data.
