Why am I excluded and what are the consequences?

A student readmitted following Disqualification who fails to achieve a minimum 2.0 Term GPA is excluded from the University. Exclusion is most serious and students are not eligible for readmission after Exclusion. An individual who has been Excluded will not be considered for readmission, and may not appeal any failure to be readmitted following Exclusion.

Exceptions to this policy may be approved in rare cases by the Admissions and Standards Committee where the reasons for the poor academic performance was due to documented extenuating circumstances. You must submit a “Readmission Application Form” to the Registrar’s Office (MH 161). This Readmission Application must be accompanied by:

1. A written statement specifying the extenuating circumstances that lead to your poor academic performance or academic dismal.
2. Documents which support and/or verify the extenuating circumstances.
3. Official transcripts from all other schools that you attended during your academic suspension (if applicable).

The Registrar’s Office will process the readmission petition only after it receives all of the documents listed above.
